W12:" Dear Malaysians..."
Dear Malaysians, do you feel grateful for living in a country like Malaysia? I personally feel grateful to live here because Malaysia is a fantastic country with amazing various kinds of cultures, friendly citizens, and a wealth of natural wonders to explore. Malaysia also has a competitive economy, which is one of the fast-growing GDP countries in Asia.
Malaysia has great preservation of wildlife.
Taman Negara which is located in Malaysia is estimated to be more than 130 million years old, making it the world's oldest tropical rainforest. In order to preserve the park, we will need special permission from the government to visit the park. The rainforest is home to the rarest animals such as the Malayan tiger, Sumatran rhinos, crab-eating macaque, and Asian elephant, hence it is worth a try if you have time to visit it. Besides, Malaysia also owns the largest cave chamber in the world. It is known as the Sarawak Chamber in Gunung Mulu National Park which is absolutely massive. The capacity is enough to hold a good 40-50 Boeing 747s. You can actually try to park these planes in the Sarawak Chamber if you encounter any needs for an emergency landing.
Malaysia has great food!
Malaysia is a wonderful place that has a combination of each ethnic's culinary traditions. Malaysia cuisine is a wonderful collision of flavors that reflects the multi-ethnic makeup of its population. I personally love the food of Baba-Nyonya or Peranakan food which is a unique hybrid of Malay and Chinese culinary cultures. The food tends to be spicy and aromatic and based on meat. I swear you will definitely fall in love with it once you tried it once. Other than that, Malaysia is also the leader of the "King of Fruits", durian. Although durian is widely available across Southeast Asia, Malaysia's durian species is more special compared to other countries. The most famous durian species are known as Musang King, Black Thorn, D24, and many more. The fruits have a strong and pungent odor which might scare off some people. You have to go beyond the strong odor and appreciate the smooth and slightly sweet taste of the fruit. Each person has their own perspective about Durian, some people like it, and some people hate it.
Malaysia is a multilingual country
Malaysians are able to speak many languages including Malay, the official language of the country, English, Chinese, Tamil, and many more. You will be totally overwhelmed to hear all the different languages and dialects around the streets. Malaysians are very friendly and always ready to help when others needed help. I am grateful and feeling lucky to be born in such lovely country.
From,
Shiin 👦
